On January 16, 2026, there were twenty-one (21) DVC members and friends who attended a blues concert by “Roomful of Blues”. Those attending were Brian Gumpert and Heidi DeShong, Tom and Jaimee Rippert, Eva and Adam Ilnicki, Jay and Peggy Kaufman, Warren and Nancy Doerner, Pat and Patty Cawthorne, Sandy and Dick Suffredini, Lyn Hughes, Graham and Susie Gill, Doug and Sharon MacWade, and Jeff and Robin Rose. Half of us went early and had a very good dinner at Washington House.
The group “Roomful of Blues” was excellent. There is a lot of top-notch talent in that group. The singer, DD Bastos, has an especially strong, deep voice but can also hit the higher notes. This group’s blues is not the slow traditional blues I usually think of, but fast-paced and has a big band jazz sound.
We heard all the songs from their new album “Steppin Out!” which I bought to listen to at home. Some of the songs we heard were “I’ve Got a Feelin”, “Good Rockin Daddy”, “Tell Me Who”, and others.
Another enjoyable evening at Sellersville Theatre with a bunch of the DVC Club.
Did anyone notice the new seats? All the seats are new, and now they have cup holders.
