On January 30, 2025, nineteen of us attended the concert "Gold Rush" and most had dinner with us at Washington House before the show.
Those attending were: Tom and Jaimee Rippert, Peter and Nancy Yaskowski, Sandy and Dick Suffredini, Diane and Jim Sanders, Nancy and Warren Doerner, Dave and Erin Alderfer, Pat and Patty Cawthorne, Jeff and Robin Rose, Eva and Monica Ilnicki, and Brian Gumpert.
This band was good!! Much better than I was expecting. The sound was well managed and clear. This is a Neil Young tribute band, and they did the songs almost note for note. I have some Neil Young CD's and when I closed my eyes it actually sounded like Neil Young. It's hard to believe someone could get their voice so close and on top of that be able to perform at a professional level.
Some of the songs we heard were: "Cowgirl in the Sand", "The Loner", "Cinnamon Girl", "Southern Man", "Ohio", "Heart of Gold", and more.
Thank you to Dave Alderfer for arranging the dinner before the concert. This was something new this year. An enjoyable evening.
