The Independence Party at the Ilnickis is always a festival of food, with of course a Polish theme. There were many delicious salads and appetizers, very delicious desserts, and the main course… kielbasa and pierogis (of course). It was like a trip back to my Nana’s kitchen.
It was a great day and a wonderful setting to mingle and catch up with our fellow DVCers. To add to the fun, we also celebrated the 70th birthday of Dick’s TD. Complete with a specialty cake illustrated with the TD. Yup, he even had the certificate that the build date was July 15, 1952! There was some question about the owner's build date but that was not disclosed.
Seeing so many members drove their MGs to the event was also very pleasing, especially on a nice warm July day. (Now, where’s the AC switch. Oh yeah in the new BMW.)
Those enjoying the warm weather, great food, and camaraderie at the Ilnicki Independence Day Party included: Eva and Adam Ilnicki (1952 MG TD), Louise Story (1972 MG B), Dick and Sandy Suffredini (1952 MG TD), Jim and Diane Sanders (1976 MG B), Tom and Jaimee Rippert (1953 MG TD), Graham and Susie Gill (1950 MG TD), Garth and Susan Gill, Robin and Jeff Rose (MG BGT V8), Chuck and Linda Daniels, Paul and Evonna Phillips (1973 MG BGT), Peter and Nancy Yaskowski, Wolfgang and Gudi Fischer, and Brian Gumpert (1967 MG BGT). On security detail were Aza the Doberman and Belle the dog.
A big Dziekuje to Eva and Adam!
